Korra asked around, gathering information about the bender inside the city. After hours of useless leads, she finally got some real information. She stood outside the door of an apartment .that supposedly belonged to him. She took a breath and burst through the door. The house was empty cept for a small table in the center of the room. At which a young man sits.
"I am Avatar Korra, and you are to be my Airbending instructor!"
Silence filled the house as Korra stood there defiantly. The man at the table simply sat there with a look of surprise on his face. He stirs his cup of tea calmly before taking a sip. He then turns his head to Korra.
"What? I'm sorry I wasn't listening."
Korra trips slightly. She regains her composer and is more then a little irritated.
"I said, that I am the Avatar and you are going to be my instructor in the arts of Airbending."
Tenzin takes another sip of his tea.
"Really? Imagine that. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I have no intention of teaching you."
"What?!" Korra screams, visibly angry. "But you have to! As the last airbender it is your duty to teach me Airbending."
Tenzin takes another sip.
"And if I refuse?"
Korra puts on a face of stern anger. "Then I'll make you teach me."
Tenzin smirks.
"In that case…."
Tenzin raises his right arm towards Korra. He fires a blast of air at her. Caught unaware, she flies back out the door and falls towards the ground below. She firebends to slow her speed, landing unharmed despite the distance she fell. The people in the street move away from her out of shock. Korra looks up towards the apartment to see Tenzin walking out of the door patting his hands.
"Since you're so insistent on this, I guess I have no choice."
Tenzin crouches slightly and rockets himself into the air. He flies very high above the buildings of the city. Just as his jet stream fades he forms an air scooter and stands on it.
"If you can make it up here to me, I'll teach you."
Korra grimaces. "Just who does he think he's dealing with?"
Korra thrusts out her arm and leaps into the air, slamming the ground beneath her. A spire of earth quickly begins to rise into the air with Korra at it's top. Tenzin looks down at her calmly and mutters to himself, "It wont reach."
The spire makes it beyond the rooftops of the city when it shatters at the base. Korra looks around in shock as she kicks of the spire. She frantically tries fire bending her way up to Tenzin but the flames simply sputter out and die. She begins falling back to earth when she is caught by a gust of wind and lands safely on a nearby roof. Tenzin soon joins her, he is smiling and laughing.
"Aww, so close. You almost had me."
"Why didn't my fire bending work?"
Tenzin clasps her on the shoulder.
"The higher up you go, the less oxygen there is. That means no fire."
Korra breaths deep and straightens her posture.
"I want to try the test again."
Tenzin looks at her smiling. "You do huh? Well you can.
Korra looks ready," Good, lets-"
"But not today."
Korra almost falls over.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean not today. It's getting late, so lets do this another time."
He goes to walk down the nearby stairs.
"Not today? Listen you! I am the Avatar. It is my job to learn all the elements. I've already mastered Water, Fire and Earth faster then any other Avatar before me."
Tenzin turns around and puts a hand on her shoulder.
"Then one more night won't be so horrible." He smiles and turns around again, leaving Korra looking dumbstruck.
"Oh right, you're new in town aren't ya. You can stay at my place for tonight."
He continues walking down the stairs towards the ground.
Korra stands there for a moment.
"Of all the people, why do I have to learn from this guy?"
Reluctantly, she follows Tenzin back to his house. He takes her to a spare room.
" You can stay here for the night. I'll have dinner ready shortly."
Korra grunts as she throws her travel bag to the ground.
"No need, I've got my own things." She walks to the door. "Good night Sifu Tenzin." she says with a touch of sarcasim. She shuts the door in his face. Tenzin stands there momentarily before returning to his cup of tea. He stirs it again before bringing it to his lips.
"Good to see you too dad."
He smiles as he takes one last sip. A slight breeze rolls through the room as a veritable twister forms in front of Tenzin. Before him stands Avatar Aang.
"Hello Tenzin."
Tenzin smiles at Aang.
"Is there any particular reason why you are not teaching me Airbending?"
Tenzin straightens up.
"Yes, because she is not ready. She doesn't posses the spirit to airbend. She's cocky, straight-forward and I don't think she could be anymore serious."
Aang grins." Yes, she's a wild one, but she means well. She wants to become a full Avatar quickly so she can help the world right away."
"That's just it, she's all business, she needs to laugh more. Don't worry, I plan on teaching her, but it would be pointless to try it now. She has to get that spark back before she'll be able to do any Airbending."
Aang smiles again.
"Then I leave her in your hands."
Aang begins to fade away as Tenzin grabs his tea.
"Oh and dad? Mom says hi."
Aang grins ear to ear as he fades in a gust of air.
The Next Day.
"We're what?"
Korra stands outside of Tenzin's house as Tenzin walks out carrying a large travel pack.
"We're going on a Journey."
Korra grabs her stuff.
"I've already gone on a Journey. You know to learn the elements. Why do I need to make another?
"Because I said so. It's either listen to me, or remain 3/4s an Avatar for the rest of your life. Your choice."
Tenzin smiles comically as Korra begrudgingly puts on her travel pack.
"This is gonna be the start of a great friendship isn't it."
The two walk out of the city together. End Scene.

Kataang - Aftermath
The kiss broke, both teens blushed as the realization of what just happened settled in. Aang looked at Katara, her blue eyes shining brighter than he had ever seen. His mind was racing, as was his heart.
"I should say something," he thought. "But what?"
"Uh...Katara?"
"Look, Aang, before you say anything I want you to know that I really do like you...a lot. And I know I said I was really confused, but now I'm positive that this is what I want. I want to be with you."
"Katara, I..."
"I understand if you don't feel the same way anymore. I probably deserve that, but I just wanted you to know that, okay?"
"Katara, listen. I'm more than happ

It was a normal day in Ba Sing Se, just near sunset. Katara and Aang had previously been out and about, on one of many dates that had occurred since they'd finally gotten together after the war had ended.
They strolled along hand-in-hand by the firelight fountain, one of the most beautiful nighttime spots in the city.
A smile permeated across Katara's lips.
"This is always so beautiful
" she said, mesmerized.
"Not as beautiful as you," Aang said as he released her hand to hug her waist, and pulled her closer. She giggled.
"Sorry," Aang blushed, knowing how cheesy he was.
"I don't mind," Katara smiled.
He kissed her gently then led

Prologue
I remember like it was yesterday. I remember the day I realized that I truly loved him.
It was two days after the defeat of Fire Lord Ozai, and the day after Zuko's coronation. We were relaxing in Iroh's tea shop, the Jasmine Dragon, in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. Zuko was serving tea to everyone. Sokka suddenly shouted, "Zuko, stop moving! I'm trying to capture the moment! I wanted to do a painting, so we would always remember the good times together."
I stood and walked over to where my brother sat at a table. "That's very thoughtful of you, Sokka," I said and leaned over his shoulder to take a look at his picture. I was stunn

After reading the preview of the new series, I just had to write this idea down. This is how I imagine the two characters meeting. Korra sounds like she is going to be a very head strong and stubbon character. So, naturally, she wont have the carefree attitude for Airbending right away. Hope you enjoy this.
